Political Gateway is run by Bob Hoffman and no other. Bob is not a member of any political party nor ever has been. Monetary backing for this site is solely in the hands of Bob Hoffman and no one else subsidizes it in any way.

The site offers free campaign websites to any legitimate candidate in the US or its territories regardless of party or other differences.

Where has the news gone? Bob can no longer afford the news. The fight with Google over the years is over, they won. Google has continually dropped the site over the years. In two instances it was due to an anti-bush article, even though there were pro-bush articles too. I have lost syndication by Google News again due to AFP's lawsuit against them. It is important to note that I was the only American website dropped during the AFP news lawsuit. I was dropped again when Obama became popular and one of the writers, who ran against Obama in Illinois, had written anti-Obama articles, even though many pro-Obama articles were written. This one free lance columnist happened, unluckily, to be a very radical writer. At the time I had no knowledge. You can look him up on wikipedia or watch him on Sean Hannity via youtube, his name is Andy Martin. At no time did anyone submit any rebuttals to his writings even though that is what the site was all about. Seems my little site got in the middle of a long running battle between certain groups and was crushed in the process.

And this has gone on with google since 2002. A constant battle to stay indexed, to be grabbed by their news service. I finally decided to say to hell with google and their obvious political sidings. My site has ALWAYS presented all sides to an argument fairly and without prejudice. Being financially hurt because google likes George bush or Barack Obama is not tolerable to me. So to hell with Google's censorship. I find it offensive they help the Chinese Government hunt down dissentients so the Chinese Government can kill or imprison them just for writing an article. To hell with Google.

Why aren't the Political Parties helping Political Gateway - I was told, in phone conferences, by the national chairs of the Dems and Reps as well as many state chairs that "we think your idea and site are great, but we will never tell anyone about it or help you since you help candidates from the other party." I mentioned to them that it helps the people make decisions and that many of their local candidates cannot afford a website and mine are free. "Don't call us, we'll call you" was their response. The smaller parties have been supportive and many of their candidates use us.

What's new on Political Gateway - I have spent considerable time and money moving the sites to a new custom built server and a new location. Now I am in deep programming mode to make a better for more than just politicians. This has been a long time coming and a lot of work. Lets see if I can get it going by Jan 2010.

What's with all this 'Depression news?' - I wrote some articles out of frustration with people back in 2005. I tried to tell them what was gonna happen and figured I should tell as many as I could on my site. So far my predictions have come true across the board. I personally think that this is a historic time and I will be expanding the depression section with the new site. People will need help and guidance, many facing financial difficulty for the first time in their lives. This site will help people as it always has.
